I'm ready for paint! It says canopy first but I don't want to do the canopy first. I got the fuel tanks attached tonight but I should be sleeping and no pics. Tomorrow morning maybe before I leave.

Oh boy I can't wait :D

Here she is masked... how does she look?

Not bad H. But, I notice some of the strips are overlapping, and protruding into the next area. This will cause a 'spike' on any paint line, so you'll need to trim all the tape edges square with each other, and ensure the edges are pressed down tightly - looks like some strips near the tail might be loose. Are you going to use your airbrush for this one? If so, it might be easier to spray the entire undersurface colour first, as this is the lighter one. Obviously we each have different preferences for painting methods, but I normally spray the top colours with the lighter colour overall, and then add the darker coloured splinters or waves, depending on the colours, ease of access etc.

Thanks for the quick answer Terry!

I will most likely use the airbrush on this one. But I am going on vacation so I though I'd get masking done before I left.

Directions say canopy next but I really don't feel like it

I guess it would be easier for one color, since the tape, will leave unpainted areas. I'll remove it for the top of the fuselage and then keep it for the underside. RLM 65 is underside and I think the colors are RLM 71 and RLM 72

OK mate. Make sure you mask the cockpit and any other openings fully, otherwise any mist from the spraying will find its way in there, and leave a dusty looking coating on everthing.

Have a god vacation Harrison. I agree with Terry that it's usually best to progress from lightest colour first to darkest. Your colour choices 70/71/65 are correct.

Here is the airbrush of choice :D

Sure. I have to wait till this dries to finish the full first coat because, the paint goes really high up.
