Damn dan, you brought this thing together very quickly and it looks great! Hope you can pull it out, you should be able to very easily.. :)

Thanks Keith, Im tryin...

Got the chipping 90% done so far and the gloss coat over.... Then applied my light dirt wash to bring out the panellines and rivets... Now to dirty them up and try to fade the paint finish....

Great work Dan!

Try to take it easy with the chipping in places though, it would be most noticable in areas that saw regular servicing, not so strong on others. Outer wing sections on the F4U-1/1a were canvas too, so shouldn't be chipped...

Thanks guys....

I went heavy on the chipping in anticipation of a final coating of lighter, thinned out blue to bring out the fading, and in doing so, the extra chipping will be covered up lightly to show wear and tear verses chipping....

Atleast thats my plan lol....

Got some done today, fading and toning down the blue... Its pretty damn close I think to the real deal....

Still more to do.....

Thanks Cory, Im tryin man...

I think it looks alot better, and my evil diabolical plan seems to have worked.... The canvas parts of the wing now look beaten up..... I still think it needs to be lightened/faded some more tho.... Ill have to see what she looks like when the gloss goes over...
