Nice progress so far. If you can, give the engine cylinder jackets a dry-brush of metallic grey. Here's a pic which might help, coincidentally, taken at Duxford.

the paint was dry so i've got to the buffing.I don't know how any of you gentlemen tackle bare metal finish and i've only attempted this once before so here is what i have done.Once the paint(model master buffing aluminium)was dry i've gently buffed it with a dremmel motor tool on the slowest speed with a small buffing wheel this seems to work quite well.I purchased model master metalizer sealer which i will apply tomorrow to finish it off .any advice will be welcome.cheers!

That looks very good indeed. There's a guide to bare metal finishes I posted some time ago, in the painting section, page 6 I think, which might give you some ideas for the future.
Just one point though. With bare metal finishes in particular (and most others) it's best to assemble the model first, before painting. That way, any filling or sanding of gaps, for example at wing roots, can be done and checked before painting. This is particularly important with bare metal, as any imperfections, however small, will show through the finish. And, of course, if the assembly is done after painting, then any remedial work will spoil the finish.
