Post some in progress shots if you can. Your paint work is awesome and I would like to see how it comes together. :)

Well....here is a start...

Put the white Med band on and masked it...then remixed my RLM 71 as the first try just wasn't right. tried 2 variations and settled on the second mix....much better.

Painted over the lower forward section and the remaining slats in 76, plus went over the white once it was dry and masked....also painted over the original RLM 71 to recoat....then started on the New 71.

By the time I got this far..been at it over 4 hours and had, had enough....trigger finger was sore and I was getting stiff....so called it a day with only half of the 71 done...

Just amazing skills Wayne... How do u prevent any overspray???

Paint is well thinned and built up gradually and Very carefully, angle of model and airbrush in relation to preventing overspray is critical too.

Once finished i will also carefully run along the edge with a highly thinned 76 to cover any possible small overspray that may have occurred....if necessary.

the demarcation looks real clean, you must be verry happy with your airbrush:p

Also, what kind of airbrush do you have? I'm one of those inquiring minds. I can't seem to get close to getting lines like that with my Paasche VL.

Running at about 35psi and the mix is roughly 60/40 paint to thinner.

I use an Aztec 430, currently using the Black nozzle.

Didn't have a big window this morning so I did the RLM 70 over the new 71.

First pic sucks, bricks are nice and clear though!.. but shows the start of fixing the outer 70 green and starting the inner wing section...plus progress to completion of the wing...also did the V1 for the other GB build.
