One of the kiwi ones: the last verse of 'The ballad of Q for Queenie', a 490 (NZ) sqn Sunderland that had "more than a few" engine problems, usually at the worst possible moment...
Q for Queenie broad and beamy.
Pregnant cow, contrary witch,
Ground crews' headache,
Aircrews' heartache,
Pull the plug out. Sink the b!tch.
(Penned "with some feeling" by her tail gunner, Flt.Sgt. Maurice (Robbie) Robson...)
Progress! Unbelievable as it sounds, I have made some progress, albeit not much I've got the wings together along with the wingtips and air intakes glued in place. Cockpit is also assembled and fixed into the fuselage halves. Tail wheel is also in place. Next step is to attach the fuselage to the wings and then look at filling the gaps.
