The tower area was called Musashi in Edo period.
The 634 can be pronounced Mu-Sa-Shi too.
It's easy for us to remember the height 634 meters :)

More of the build and view...:D

Good stuff. On the CN Tower in Toronto, you can stand on a sheet of glass on the floor that looks straight down.

The lift up and down was quick and smooth....back down at ground level we hopped a free bus to Ueno Park....where we walked through to the Zoo for a squiz...

Nice shots Wayne :thumbleft:

I have no exact idea where you visited in Tokyo but there is National Museum of Nature and Science,Tokyo nearby the zoo and you could have seen a two-seater Zero there if you had time.
Walking in the Ame-yoko (candy bystreet) along the Ueno JR station could have been a good choice as there is a famous military costume shop Nakata. Visiting Tokyo's traditional downtown Asakusa would have been another good choice.
Just my guess :)

Thanks Guys....sure I missed plenty Shinpachi...will be back to see more.....

Couple more Zoo shots and out in the main park to see more, I
