I would've gone for BB until I heard Mississippi Fred... can't get better than that!

John Lee right behind.. ahoww, how, how!!

Geez...

Buddy guy has an incredible tone
BB King lucille what a guitar

Robert Cray on cross roads blew me away.

Over all Rober Johnson for me, some seriously sinister guitaring going on there.

This is no contest. Robert Johnson. This is the man from which the legend of selling your soul to the devil to sing the blues and play guitar came from. Buy his deluxe set, sit back with a whiskey, and listen to some real blues.

EVERYBODY emulated him. EVERYBODY.

I stand corrected. Robert Johnson did set the standard. McDowell is an awful close second.
