Daniel and Matt, yes the code letters on both models are hand painted. If I can't get the decals I need, I normally hand-paint the letters, both 1/32nd and 1/48th scale, although it's a bit more of a shaky srtuggle these days! The problem I've had recently is finding good quality 00 or 000 brushes; the usual manufacturers seem to have dropped their standards, even with sable brushes, as they separate much quicker now, which is a right royal pain!
