After the Ju88....why not...

Seriously, JG53 experimented with various patterns on a number of their 109's and careful viewing of a number of aircraft images there is a distinct lack of visible stencils...other than the some obvious ones and some on the lower fuselage numbers.

It's possible that it's 65 too, but there are examples of a complete white backgound...when you compare the masked off W.Nr. background to the Swastica background and kill markings it is more likely to be white than 65. Also you would notice a difference between the swastica arms of white and 65 fill in if it were 2 different colours they appear the same in the B/W image.
