I agree Keith, the decals look even better now they've settled. I'll give it a go next time I get a kit with instrument decals, using my usual Micro Sol, which has been great over the years. I did try doing what you did on the Airfix Buccaneer, but the decals were a bit thick, and the panels of compound shapes, so the results weren't brilliant - ended up bining half the decals and painting the rest.
 
Cheers Wayne! Yeah Terry, that last airfix i built had thick enough decals. Why did you have to mention a Buccaneer? I'd forgotton about wanting to buy one! 60's RAF GB anyone?!! Although, I'd like to build one in Gulf War 1 markings 8)

Coming along nicely M! You can do a Buccaneer for the Cold War GB, if/when we do it. I got my kit back in '95, when I was asort of 'honourary' part-owner of a real, live Buc! Started the build about four years ago, and haven't got past the cockpit!
 
Some work done on the landing gear and wheel wells.
