In hindsight I should have just left the front pin. I think it would have been easier to set right. Never the less, the shim is in.

Late last night the to of the tail seam let loose, I've had to re-glue it and this morning will re-finish the seam and the panel lines. Drilling holes and fitting the little bits, antennae and other sticky outy bits. The H model had two pitot tubes, but on each side of the top of the cockpit. The A model had two side by side on the starboard above the cockpit. I had to fill both kit holes, then will drill one side for both pitots.

The glass of the cockpit has a bit of a fit problem which will have to be overcome, I'm hoping I can get it fitted today. Then the masking can be started.

I sailor on.

Had the very same cockpit front fit problem Bill. Got it fitted as best I could and then did some very delicate masking and filling with Fill-o-Gap, let it set and then some even more delicate filing back. That's when Johnny Walker got seen off!!!!

Thanks guys, encouragement is much appreciated......
So Today I did work in the morning, same tomorrow.

I painted the green on the glass, what a struggle, eh Vic? I seem to remember you saying the same thing.

TIP....... I made a lens for the rear underside, red, used the clasp of a plastic pen my brother-in-law nicked from a hotel. It's a bit small and was having trouble holding on to the bl00dy thing. Then remembered Annie and I stopped and saw a gem cutter at work! Boing. Now why didn't i think of this sooner. Glued it to the end of a piece of sprue! Bob's your uncle. Works a treat!

So you can see the shimming I had to do for the canopy glass. Almost every surface, but it's as good as it gonna get. So it's ready to get attached.

I sailor on.....

That is looking good Bill and yes, fitting that front glass was just the pits mate, worst part of the model but we got there in the end.

The green shading looks good.

Ohhhh, I'm not gonna take any close-ups of the green.....
And yes, it is the WORST part of the whole build. Even the scratch was soooo much easier.

From all the way over in N.C. it would! Only an hours work today. Why do I draive 40 minutes each way for an hours work??? Dementia maybe.

Doing more fitting before I attach the glass house.

Didi you airbrush or brush paint the clear green Bill? I brush painted on an Israeli helo and it was streaky. The more I tried to correct it the worse it got. Hung it high on the ceiling. Yours is coming along right smartly.
