I believe you. The interior colour was RLM66 what is called black grey one.

All the pics loaded for me just fine - no red Xs.

Couple thoughts:

1. jamie, I think that profile you keep refering to as 'red' is actually so out of tone that it is showing as red. I don't believe there was anything red camo for the Bf 110 like that.

2. I think Micdrows post #73 of the two yellow Bf 110s is more closely like the original. I believe it was a color print from "Der Adler" magazine.

3. and some pics I found at the Bundes Archive that I hope helps you Jamie.

You've got a couple of nightfighters in that top picture equipped with the early Lichtenstein A/I radar. I can't see the unit codes properly though, the image is too small. NJG 1 maybe? I'm sure I have that picture in a book I own, I'll have a look later.

just cant get this lighting thing right so the colours all look a bit washed out but it is grey not blue i promise .
cockpit finished and body halves assembled thats all i managed to get done today will post more as it happens
