Great job Dan. Having seen the pics, I don't think you'll have much trouble adding the flexi-feed chutes or other detail, when you get them. I'll include a sketch to show where/how to cut the chutes to fit to give the best apperance, as they have separate rounds. The internal bay detail should be p**s easy too. Should hit the 'Air Snail' by Tuesday, all being well, so about 5 days later you should have the stuff.

Thanks Keith and Terry, I appreciate the kind words from the pros.....

Excellent news Terry, lookin forward to gettin the wing buttoned up....

I am in the process of dry fitting everything with the fuselage in order to take a pic of the front of the engine and cowling, to show Terry what it looks like and then compare from existing pics.... Dont know if theres anything we can do about it if its wrong, but pics will tell....

OK, heres what we got for a dry fit....

One thing I really noticed is that for some reason, Trumpeter has made the cowl flaps too long... If they were to actually close, they would be overlapped onto the main fuselage... Gonna have to trim those down I think....

So how does the front of the engine look??? Does it protrude too far out of the cowl???

It looks to be sticking out about the same as the corsair in your siggy pic Dan. I'd leave it, maybe paint the clear part and see how it looks?

Dan you have a clear piece means you have a solid piece?could you cut the back of one and fuse it to the other?Kevin

Les, before you cut, the cowl flaps might not just be articulated to hinge outward. I'm no expert by any means, but they might not only articulate to a 45 degree angle, but also extend perhaps?
