Thank You Karl!!Now we have a plane with forward guns under the fuse in invasion stipes, I appreciate it very much.I have been extremely busy of late.Cheers Kevin

Well not much to show here. The pit is starting to come together alittle but it is really nothing fancy. To be honest getting kinda bored with the build  and thinking Prince of Wales next for a diversion.I may highlight the pit but it's so tight and small one would be hard pressed to even notice I think.I make the reg hose and added the canvas around the stick out of milliput  again nothing fancy just yring to dress her up some.Cheers Kevin

Nice work Kevin, but it's a sod when the motivation isn't there, isn't it? Hope to see some more progress mate, should turn out to be a nice one - not many Mk1 Mustang models are seen around.

Yea Terry alot of planes lately.I forgot to mention that the sidewalls,IP and seat are the Aires stuff and quite nice even though my photography doen't show it.The floor board and stick is from the kit,the Aires floorboard was for I guess the late model when the wing was not the floorboard.Cheers Kevin

Well I have gotten alittle more done on the bird with some primer applied.I milliput the cowl up to smooth out the brashness of the lines they were to pronounce and flattening it out some. The pit even though it does not show itself came out pretty good. The wing on the right side as you can see had a small step in it and the tailplanes had a sizable crease.Slowly coming together I am debating using the machine guns in the last pic they are already on there way with some other stuff.

Looking good Kevin. You'll need to get rid of those gun fairings though. They were for the cannons, not used on the bird you're modelling, where the machine guns were buried in the wings, as per the P51B/C.

Yea got that com'in Terry I am thinking of going with AG588 M depicted in photos that Karl posted. It looks like all the invasion stripes were just undersides with the 50's coming out from under the chin. The photos show just a somewhat buldge left from cannon removal?not real clear yet.Cheers Kevin

Gotcha. Can't see any bulge, though there is an oil smear from the breather, on the lower part of the cowling. The wing gun ports were similar to the 'B', reccessed openings, with the gun muzzles set inside, so at that angle they aren't visible.
Those brass gun barrels should look the biz in the nose!

AG588 is a mis-reading from a poor print. The correct serial number was AG529, corrected in 2nd Taf Vol 4.
