Hi Karl, the lower colour is an Olive-Grey tamiya mix, (Used on Zeroes too!) for the basics XF-14 is ok, if you want to replicate my colour I can provide the Tamiya mix if you like!

Today I applied another coat of Matt Flat Coat with Khaki added to further dull down the paint and fade and blend the colouring a tad as well as the decals....very subtle effect but at this stage I don't want to f*ck it up! will also be adding a little bit of pastel work as well in the final stages....

Ok the first 2 pics shows the subtle addition of the matt with the added khaki....doesn't quite show the slightly faded effect on the Hinomaru markings....
