Painted the canopy tonight then glossed it along with the tail markings...first flat coat tomorrow!

Shots are after the second flat coat, dulled it right down...talc was added to the late war Japanese paints to get a real matt/ flat finish.

First 2 shots outside but was cloudy...second 2 under fluoro light...

Thanks fellas, started on the paint chipping today using the silver pencil....first time I've tried this method, so far its looking good....

bloody brilliant Wayne !

i see youve used a light grey for the undersides what paint did you use ?
the instructions for my tamiya Ki 84 say to use XF-14 which is sky blue but all the profiles etc i've seen show a colour closer to what you've used !
do you think that its an old kit with slightly out of date instuctions ?
