Well done Peter. But there is someting wrong with the cannon barrels.
They do point slight outwards (the effect is exaggerated by the camera perspective) - is that what you mean? I have a fix for that. 8)

Thanks!
Well, got it all together at last. In the end the fit was good. I'm just focusing on the joins at the moment and using Tamiya surfacer to make sure that they can't be seen. Any large gaps were filled with a combo of super glue and talc. Engine fits well inside the cowls which appear circular from front on - which it is how it should. Upper carb intake is well, a little wide, but a necessary compromise unfortunately. One on the instrument panels didn't stay in place, but I'll get that back in before installing the canopy. I'll need to re-scribe panel lines here and there, particularly those that run across the inserts used to widen the fuselage. The wing trailing edges are also a bit on the thick side and I have 'sharpened' them up by scraping and sanding.

Peter,
This is a magnificent effort. I have one of these in my stash but I haven't plucked up the courage to do it yet - your work has really inspired me, though (and given me a ton of info that will help when I do finally take a run at mine). One dumb question, though...did the Boomer really have such an open wheel well? I can imagine that area between the firewall and the cockpit getting thoroughly gunked with dust and mud given some of the rough strips these birds operated from.
Cheers,
