Time for an update. Main parts of the airframe are assembled now. They fitted rather nicely, only a bit of putty will be needed on one or two places...

Did they get the wing thickness right? In their P-51D it is too thick at the root, and upper wing looks straight when seen head on (should have dihedral)

Time for further update... Here's how she looks now. Still a lot of work ahead. Need to correct the white areas of the stripes as black paint came under the tape on few places.
To answer Evan's question from few posts back, wing thickness and dihedral on this model look quite accurate to me.
