Thanks guys.................
And....... finally, color!

My question is this..... is the inside of the wheels wells and inside the flap wells the same color???? the gear legs??? tail wheel?? as the underside of the plane?

Plus I am now confused as to the color codes for the camo....... Helllllp.

The camo scheme was a quite typical for the period of the Great Patriotic War ( the Summer 1943) . It consisted of AMT-6/A-26M Black ( Tamiya XF-1, Testors 1749) but the colour should be of a little bit of the grey tonality, AMT-4/A-24M Green ( Testors 1715/1713, Gunze H58/H303) at top surfaces. And the AMT-7/A-28M Blue ( Testors 2123 ) on undersides. Samples of these colours in the first set below.
But I would suggest using those of the second sample set with their tonalities in below.

As far as these landing gear legs, wheel bays and flaps colours are concerned.... there is a couple of different opinions. One of them says these parts were painted with light blue-grey or light grey colour. The second one indicates the FS25466 paint or FS25550 or FS35250 ones. I think it was the same colour used for the cockpit interior painting. Therefore if the cockpit was of light grey these areas mentioned above were of light grey too. If the cockpit interior was of the light blue these parts were of the same one.

No problem Bill.

In addition, for the green paint you can use FS24102 that is a little bit more of an olive tonality than the FS34128. The sample below.

Great info Wojtek. Is all this posted in some pinned location like "Aircraft Markings and Camouflage"? If not, might be a good idea to consolidate the Soviet camo colours in one place there.

Perhaps this will help post in one piece?
It's an A4 size pdf.

Looking very good Bill. But you have these sample sets turned up side down it seems.

Andy, partially it is as memo serves. But I'm going to gather all info about that and make a kind of a list with these paints and their equivalents for modellers. Still collecting details for the list. But being busy with other errands it might take me some time.
