Thanks David, Terry. You too Aaaron (crossed posts).

Still researching the upper camo and came across this today:

Although Tom has been gone for awhile, I'm sure he would agree with the following, provided by a NASM resotration staff member:

"The main color of the top of the 219 is RLM 75, Gray violet. The squiggle color is RLM 76 Light Blue that has yellowed due to the resin carrier and the effects of UV, moisture, etc. We just don't know how long it took to alter itself from Lt. Blue to the Type S Sky (what some Luftwaffe paint gurus called the unnumbered Sky color) that we represented when we (originally) painted it.

And yes, there are no plans to change the color of the squiggle at this time.

The NASM squiggles were painted in the light greenish-blue colour, thought to be the same colour as applied to some late war fighters. The above is interesting news, dating to May 2010.

Thanks guys.

Worked on the elevators last night. Tamiya cast elevator trim actuator both sides, top and bottom. The upper tab actuator on the left side was not there on the real plane (circled in first pic below). The actual arrangement had only one actuator on each side: upper surface on the starboard elevator and underneath on the port side. The second pic shows the upper actuator removed, the tab rescribed, and the area sanded smooth.
