Ok I'm here now, limited time on the comp yesterday....as I understand it the A6M2 Zero had a wide lap belt like my Ki-84, but not the same colour! and had one over the shoulder belt, need to verify the shoulder belt though.

Nice work so far Kevin!

I tell ya Wayne all work and no play,I know the routine sir.Well I think i got some better pics tonight and in conversing with Paul about the pics saw something I met to add to the R/FW.

Thanks for all the kind comments,Terry I sure am going to give it a show. When is the end date for the build by the way?Pete appreciate the photo and is exactly what Manny had over at LSP on his build, now I have a direction to procede. Thanks again Cheers Kevin

Thks Terry I went ahead and ordered the belts for this and my MK VI Spit in 1/24 and just had to order the Eduard YAK 3 ;) Cheers Kevin

I'd be interested to hear your views on the Spit Kevin, as I quite fancy a larger scale MkVB, and looking at possibly other than the re-worked Airfix kit. One of the range from Trumpeter I presume? Hope they've got the cockpit port side wall right...the Hasegawa 1/32nd scale kit, good though it is, is based on the MkV kit, and still has the entrance hatch!

Thks Keith do not know if I am going to able to make it.The engine wiring is bogging me down at the moment.I am having to cut off alll the little tubes off the ignition ring, drill and glue on hollow ones for the wires to come out of.Terry it is the 1/24 kit by trump and there is a couple of thing wrong they say I think the seat, prop. blades(?),and I think a front upper cowl maybe.I do not know if I will address any or all whenever I getv the chance.Cheers Kevin

Well things have moved some getting close to laying some paint. The pic of the engine really does not show it well at all and I took maybe 15 pics with little change.I did it like Manny's engine w/copper ties for the wires themselves just does not show well at all.Excuse the peeling outdoor table the wife wants me to repaint it does show some scale though the table is about 4' in diameter.I can see in comparison to the 109 and 190 how this plane got so much lift with a lower HP engine and lighter airframe.Pics....

Very nice indeed Kevin! I thought the pic of the engine was the real thing at first, very impressive! And now I know why you built that large workshop out back - you'll need it to house the 1/24th scale models!!
